Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle, non-invasive, and deeply relaxing healing technique rooted in the Japanese healing tradition. Reiki means “Life Force Energy”, and it supports and accelerates the body’s own natural ability to heal itself by rebalancing the body’s flow of life force energy. What You Can Expect in Your Reiki Session
As you relax fully clothed on a massage table, scents of lavender and sage may fill the air as soft music plays. A series of hand positions are used to facilitate the flow of healing energy. You will have the choice of a hands on or hands off session. My hands will become a conduit for the healing energy to flow as I lightly lay them on specific energy centers of the body. If you choose the hands off session, my hands will hover just above the body. I may use crystals or drumming to amplify the energy as blockages are released. You may experience a warm, cool or tingly sensation during the treatment as your energy system is restored to balance. A Reiki treatment can last approximately and hour or more. Receiving Reiki is a very soothing and relaxing experience that will leave you feeling refreshed, invigorated, and balanced. Reiki will continue to work after the session, and you may notice that you need more water or more sleep. Many people notice being happier, lighter and have more energy. Everyone is different and will experience Reiki differently. The key is to listen to your body and your intuition, enjoy the experience and come with an open mind and heart.
